Our BBL Reviews
"I had the halo and BBL combo done last week and am loving the results so far. I was a little nervous going into it (they will warn you, the halo makes your face feel HOT but not unmanageable), but can’t say enough great things about the staff and Dr. Bukov for ensuring I was comfortable throughout the process. I’m already seeing improvements in my skin. So worth the investment!"
"I have come to Dr. Bukov and his team at Nob Hill for many years. I can tell you that they are the best aesthetic office in town. They are experienced, honest, caring and are very professional. I love that Dr. Bukov is the injector himself unlike other aesthetic offices where the nurses are the ones that do the injections. Dr. Bukov’s injection consistently gave me great results on my Botox treatments. He is detailed oriented and is an amazing injector. As for Coolsculpting and BBL, I must say that my results were also exceptional. They are always underpromise and over delivered. I m impressed with all the results here. Thanks to Dr. Bukov and his team, now I do have a perfect bikini body, velvety skin and a youthful, wrinkle free appearance. I highly recommended this office to all my friends and family"
I have been coming to Nob Hill Medical for around 3 years- always a great experience. The staff is excellent, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. HIGHLY recommend BBL facials. My skin improved within three sessions, looks glowing, and I’m going back for three more
Nob hill aesthetics is amazing - the staff here is knowledgeable and friendly. I have done cool scripting and halo laser here and the experience was amazing. They take really good care of you!
The price is also fair and competitive. Would recommend to friends 100%!
The cool sculpting I am already seeing good results. Just did halo laser + BBL today and will report back!
"I like coming to Nob Hill because it’s a small little operation with a terrific doctor. The appointments for Botox are really fast and they are willing to work with me on the dosage that I am most comfortable with (I tend to do minimal bc I don’t need a ton, but also trying to dial it in over time). I’m excited to try BBL next time."
I have done one Halo/BBL with exceptional results. I have also done several series of the emsculpt neo with exceptional results. The team is professional, knowledgeable and friendly.
I’ve gone here for Botox and a BBL and my skin looks amazing! The nurses and doctors are great at listening to my skin issues and suggesting solutions without being pushy. I will definitely be back!
This is the place I’ve been going to for years for Botox. I have also gotten the BBL and Halo treatment here. They are very professional and weigh your concerns very heavily. Highly recommend - especially for people who are new to Botox and laser treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Broadband Light?
Broadband Light (BBL) is an advanced form of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy, used for cosmetic skin treatments. It delivers broad-spectrum light to the skin to target signs of aging, sun damage, and various skin conditions like acne, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation. BBL treatment can improve skin tone, texture, and overall appearance by stimulating collagen production and eliminating unwanted cells. This non-invasive procedure is known for its versatility and effectiveness in treating a wide range of skin concerns.
What is the difference between Broadband Light, HALO Laser, Morpheus8, and Microneedling?
The comparison between the 4 procedures can become very complex so ask your provider at Nob Hill Aesthetics in person for a more thorough explanation. However, the main points are below:
Broadband Light (BBL) -treatment is a form of intense pulsed light therapy used for skin rejuvenation. It targets signs of aging, sun damage, and various skin conditions like acne, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation. BBL uses varying wavelengths of light to reach different skin depths, treating a wide range of skin issues. The light energy heats the upper layers of skin, stimulating collagen production and prompting the body to get rid of unwanted cells, leading to improved skin tone and texture. The procedure is generally quick, with minimal downtime, but also more suitable to fairer to medium skin tones.
Halo Laser - is mainly intended to treat uneven skin tone, sun damage and improve skin texture. While all of the procedures improve collagen production, each treatment option has its own "specialty" and limitations. Halo's two types of lasers, hence why it is called a hybrid fractional laser treatment, target shallower layers of the skin as well as the surface compared to Morpheus8. In addition, Halo is more suitable for fairer to medium skin tones.
Morpheus8 - is mainly intended to treat fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and texture irregularities which require reaching deeper layers of the skin. In addition to its strength and ability to treat issues of skin laxity, Morpheus8 is suitable for various skin types including darker skin tones compared to Halo.
Microneedling - is typically not used to address under eye issues. It is however less painful compared to the fractional laser treatments Morpheus8 and Halo Laser. The procedure is still used to address skin pigmentation, acne scares, and skin texture irregularities, however, these effects occur on an even more superficial level of the skin compared to Halo. In addition Microneedling has shorter down times. The results from a microneedling procedure are less dramatic and slower to show compared to fractional laser treatments.
What can I expect before my Broadband Light Treatment?
Before your Broadband Light (BBL) treatment, it's important to prepare your skin properly to ensure the best possible results and minimize risks. Your Nob Hill Aesthetics BBL provider will give you specific instructions based on your skin type and the area being treated. Always follow their guidelines closely. Here are the key steps to take:
- Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of the sun for at least 2-4 weeks before your treatment to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation or more serious side effects.
- No Tanning: Avoid tanning beds and self-tanning products.
- Medications and Supplements: Discuss any medications or supplements you are taking with your Nob Hill Aesthetics provider, as some can increase photosensitivity.
- Skin Care Products: Avoid using retinoids, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and other irritating skin products a few days before the treatment.
- Clean Skin: Arrive for your treatment with clean skin, free of makeup and lotions.
- Inform Your Provider: Let your Nob Hill Aesthetics provider know about any past medical history of skin conditions or scarring.
What can I expect during my Broadband Light Treatment?
It is important to communicate with your Nob Hill Aesthetics providers as they will be able to tailor the treatment and maximize your comfort according to your preferences! During your Broadband Light (BBL) treatment, follow these steps:
- Wear Protective Eyewear: You'll be provided with safety glasses or goggles to protect your eyes from the intense light.
- Communicate Comfort Levels: Inform the practitioner if you feel any discomfort during the procedure.
- Stay Still: Try to remain as still as possible to ensure accurate targeting of the light.
- Post-Treatment Cooling: After the treatment, a cooling gel or pack might be applied to soothe the skin.
What can I expect after my treatment?
Always follow the specific post-care instructions provided by your Nob Hill Aesthetics provider. After your Broadband Light (BBL) treatment, follow these steps:
- Skin Care: Apply a soothing ointment or gel if recommended by your Nob Hill Aesthetics provider.
- Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect the treated area from the sun and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
- Gentle Cleansing: Clean the area gently without scrubbing.
- No Exfoliating Products: Avoid retinoids, scrubs, or exfoliating agents until the skin heals.

When will I see my Broadband Light results?
You can expect to see initial results from Broadband Light (BBL) treatment within a week, but the full effect typically becomes evident after several weeks. The timing can vary depending on the specific condition being treated and individual skin response. For conditions like pigmentation, improvements may be noticeable sooner as dark spots fade. For collagen rebuilding and skin rejuvenation, it might take longer to see the full benefits. Usually, multiple sessions are required for optimal results. Am I a good candidate for Broadband Light?
Ideal candidates for Broadband Light (BBL) treatments typically include individuals who:
- Have Light to Medium Skin Tones: BBL works best on lighter skin tones due to lower melanin content, reducing the risk of hyperpigmentation.
- Want to Treat Pigmentation Issues: Including sun damage, freckles, age spots, and other forms of hyperpigmentation.
- Seeking Vascular Lesion Reduction: Like broken capillaries, rosacea, or cherry angiomas.
- Looking for Skin Rejuvenation: To improve skin texture, reduce fine lines, and promote collagen production.
- In Good Overall Health: Without active skin infections or certain skin disorders.
- Not Pregnant: BBL is not recommended for pregnant women.
Those with darker skin tones or certain medical conditions should consult with a skincare professional to assess suitability and risks.
